36 weeks and some NEWS!

Well I'm officially 36 weeks today!
Only 4 weeks left...
...or is there?????????
So I went to the Dr. yesterday for my 36 week check-up. Yes, it was a day early (technically I was still 35 weeks) but due to the holiday weekend, it was the only time they could get me in and I wasn't complaining! Anything to hear that sweet little heartbeat one day early is fine by me!! Anywho, I had to get my Group B Strep swab and they did my first internal exam....
Wait for it....
I'm already dilated to 2!
Yes, this is defnitely exciting news but I was kind of dreading hearing this. Although with the contractions and the feeling of her head being able to come out at any point, (TMI I know) I figured it would be the case. Why was I dreading hearing this??? Because it's all I think about now!!! I could go anytime or I could still be pregnant weeks from now! UGH! But it's definitely progress and very exciting!
Should we start taking bets on her birthday yet???

"Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars??? I could really use a wish right now..."

...but three more awards will do!! :)
The first one...
The rules are to say where you see yourself in 10 years and pass onto 10 bloggers. I actually already have this first one, but I thought I'd thank Chelsea for giving it to me! It was very sweet, and so is her blog, so check her out!!
My Second and Third Awards!
Both of the rules to these awards are very similar so I'm going to combine them!
1. Thank the person(s) who gave the award to you.
-Thank you Traci for the Versatile Award!
-Thank you to one of my favorite bloggers Care, for the Sugar Doll Blogger Award!
Both of these ladies are super sweet and have great blogs! If you want any photography advice, go check out Care's blog, she's seriously amazing!!

2. List 7 or 10 awesome things about yourself.
Alrighty so I will try and think of 10 things about myself that you don't already know...
1. My pinky fingers are crooked.
2. I'm a sandbox kid. AKA I went to the same school district from Kindergarden to Senior Year!
3. My favorite holiday is St. Paddy's Day. I think it has something to do with being the first holiday after a long winter. It's also an excuse to wear tons o' beads and funny shirts. Ahhhh!!!! This is my year to finally celebrate after 2 years of not! Oh and it's my step-dad's b-day and he rocks so that day just rocks!
4. I have a huge crush on Dane Cook. Boom Boom Pow!
5. I never wear jewelry. Well now I wear a wedding ring but that's it! I've had my ears pierced since I was two, hardly ever wear earrings, and the holes have never closed up!!
6. Lidia's probably going to have red hair.
7. I still check on Lidia at least twice a night to make sure she's breathing.
8. I'm in love with our new recliner!
9. The thing I look forward to most about not being pregnant... Going down waterslides.
10. I hope Carly looks just like Matt.
3. Pass on to 10 or awesome ladies and contact them.
So I'm going to pass all three awards to these 10 ladies... and this is my way of contacting you!!! Also, sorry if you already have any of them, it should just make you feel extra special!
4. Mrs. Hesson @ Meet the Hessons
6. Mrs. Lovf @ Baking Baby Lovf
... and two of these awards were given to me by two awesome ladies that I didn't know were following me! After going to their blogs, falling in love with their stories, and now I'm following.. I got to thinking about how many ladies I'm missing out on reading about their lives that might be following mine! So, if you love me and my little blog and are a follower, leave me a comment and let me know so I make sure to follow yours and don't miss out on anyone or anything!
Happy Tuesday everybody!!!

One month from today...

... is Carly's due date!!! I can't believe this day is here!
We had a great relaxing weekend. We didn't do much at all! We were able to squeeze in watching the USA soccer game, watch a movie, make a trip to the mall, and went to the pool today! Like I said, laid back but very nice.... and Lidia still isn't walking but she's getting closer. Wherever she goes while she's playing, she always takes her walker! It should be any day now!

Tomorrow is my 36 week doctors appointment. I get checked for Group B Strep and checked to see if I'm dilating and making progress yet!! Fingers crossed for good news on both!!!!

Date Night with Mr. Collin

Isn't he super cute????
Sarah and Dan went to Tom Petty last night in Omaha... Am I jealous? Yes. But I got to watch their little boy while they were gone and they deserved a night away!! The night went great, both kids were amazing, and it was great practice for our upcoming new addition! Not gonna lie, the first hour Lidia was a little jealous but then she was right by his side the whole night saying, "Ba ba ba!" Which is baby... she's so smart!Don't mind her HUGE tummy and his TINY body! He's 4 months old and a lil peanut! Love him!Lidia thought she was being a big help by giving him her binky... It hurt her feelings when I took it away :(
Both kids slept through the night and woke up happy! I couldn't have asked for a better night! I think I got spoiled though and lil miss Carly will give me a run for my money when she gets here! We shall see... ...and just a few cute pics of Lidia on her normal Wednesday afternooons at G'mas house while Momma's at work. Lidia practiced her baby lovin' skills, she now says "Maaaaahh Ma" for Grandma, she is learning some sign language (she will only do more and put her hands together) and she learned, "What does a puppy say??" Ruff ruff!!! My mom is so good with her and teaches her so much!

OH. MY. LANTA!!

Have we had a tough past week or what?!?
Let me give you the rundown... (remember this started last week)
Monday:
My day off and home with the princess. SHE WAS A NIGHTMARE! I figured it was teething because I saw some more cute teeth coming in...
BUT
Tuesday:
She still acted crazy and ran a fever in the middle of the night
SO
Wednesday:
I made an appointment with the Dr. to check and make sure everything was ok. The doctor had to reschedule the appt. due to an emergency, so I made an appt for the following morning. In the midst of this, I had my 34 week check-up and had high blood pressure. They were concerned about Preeclampsia, so they drew some blood, did a non-stress test on Carly, and required that I do a 24-hour urine testing. This means that I had to pee in a huge jug/container for the next 24 hours and store that nastiness in my refridgerator! There was no way I was taking that to work the next day, so I knew I would be staying home on Thursday already. (I found out yesterday that I passed everything and don't have preeclampsia and Carly is perfectly happy in mommy's belly still!)
ANYWAY
Lidia was acting a little better that evening, so we went to a family dinner at Pizza Ranch. Yes, we went buffet style but it was fun to see all my younger cousins and see Lidia play with her new love.
But as I was getting Lidia in her carseat to go home from dinner, she vomitted everywhere! She had never thrown up before and I immediately started crying. (I know... poor me... when she is the one in pain, but it broke my heart!) She continued to dry heave on the way home, so I took her to a walk-in clinic that night. The doctor said she had a double ear infection and that was the cause for her throwing up as well. So the Dr. gave her an antibiotic and sent us on our way. My thoughts... "So the tubes were a waste?!?! Greatttt...." (But hold on, I'll get back to that in a min.)
Thursday:
Lidia continued to throw up the rest of Wednesday night and all day Thursday. She wouldn't keep anything down or eat much and was basically miserable.
So
Friday:
I took her to her normal doctor. Wouldn't you know that the walk-in clinic was wrong!!! She did not have an ear infection. The antibiotic that the other doctor gave her was making her stomach more upset and she actually had strep throat! (I think she had the flu also because she passed it to everyone in our family but she didn't get tested for it.) So, since she was still throwing up, they decided to give her two shots on antibiotics. These were really harsh shots and made Princess sleep literally the rest of the day. If she wasn't sleeping, she was laying on me or laying on the couch, floor, etc. My poor baby!!!
Saturday:
The shot really did wonders because she woke up with a smile on her face!

She was still grumpy both Saturday and Sunday, but was ten times better than earlier in the week! The rest of the family (including my parents and siblings) also got the little flu bug from the princess. I told her she was grounded!!!!
But
Monday:
(Yesterday)
She was wonderful!!! We were able to get some errands ran, we played a lot, and just enjoyed the day! I'm so glad to have my baby back!!!

Soooo... since I've been slacking on the blogging this week because of this sickness crap, I wanted to give a shot out to the best dads in my life since I didn't get to on Father's Day. I have two of the greatest men in my life to call my dads. My dad has always been an amazing friend and someone I can call and get good advice, etc. Since he lives ten hours away, we don't see each other much, but I still love him so much. My step-dad is amazing. He's so laid back, humble, hard-working, and would do ANYTHING for my family. I couldn't imagine my life without him and I'm so glad to call him my dad. And who could forget my Matthew? I couldn't ask for a better father to my little girls. He is the definition of a rock to our family. He provides everything for us, rushes home to be with us at anytime, puts us before anything, especially himself, and has to deal with all women! That says it all. I'm so in love with him and the father he is and couldn't ask for more in a man.
I love you Dad, Ro, and Mr. Mole!

Lidia v. Carly... Room edition

Well we finally got Carly's room finished! We painted it a pale green, (not me! the man and the parents), we got the crib together and bedding on, moved the dresser over from Matt's mom's house, and got all of her clothes organized! I still have some awesome curtains to hang but I haven't got to that yet. Let me rewind... We got the crib as a hand-me-down for el cheapo, the bedding from a friend, and the dresser from her Grandma. So I've spent basically nothing on this room! You can't tell she's my second baby can you?!?
Now Lidia's room. Her walls were already painted a bright yellow and it matched, so we kept it that way. Her bed was bought brand-new, bedding bought at a garage sale (pottery barn! whoop whoop!), changing table from a garage sale, and her dresser was the one I grew up with at my parents house. We just had to repaint it and it was good to go. Again, everything was el cheapo (minus the crib) but the difference was she was my first baby and maybe I should have gone all out for her??? Nope. Not me. That's not my style. I'm no decorator. I have no eye for fashion or creativeness.

So as you can see in my daughter's rooms, they are boring! Boooooooorrrring! But we don't play in there so that's my excuse. I was almost embarrassed to put these pictures up after admiring your children's rooms in your blogs but
1. I have family that wanted to see the rooms
and
2. This is just me. Plain Jane. Gotta love me right?!Extreme home makeover for children's room anyone?!?

Whoop Whoop! A Waterpark!

This weekend we decided to take a trip out of town before we add another bundle of joy to our family. We went with some friends, about 2 hours away, to a water park and stayed the weekend. The trip went really well! Momma only had to take one bathroom break along the way! Actually, it wasn't me that initiated the bathroom break, it was the guys in the other car that needed it. So of course, we got the munchkin out (who slept most of the way I might add) and took pics of our road trip!

When we got to the waterpark, the weather was cloudy and rainy but it cleared up and we were able to enjoy the day! There was plenty of slides, sprinklers, wave pools, and a lazy river for the two handicaps (Lidia the baby and me the preggo) to enjoy! There were also a few shoulders to lean on and plenty of lawn chairs to sleep on when princess got tired!

Then we enjoyed some yummy snacks! (yes, those are empty chairs behind her... meaning there was hardly anyone there but that meant shorter lines for us!!)

Then it was time to go to the hotel and get ready. We went to dinner at a delicious (and surprisingly cheap I might add) restaurant. It reminded me why I don't take Lidia out to dinner anymore but it was still a good time. Lidia and I were tired from the long day, so we went back to the hotel while the others stayed at the casino for a few hours! We had a great time playing and taking pictures of ourselves, then we zonked out for the night. Lidia was extra lucky and got to sleep in bed with her mama!! It was a great weekend!

Monday wasn't so great though. Lidia was beyond fussy. I didn't realize until about noon, that it was because she is getting yet another two teeth in!! Can you see in the picture above that her two top ones are completely through now? The ones right next to them are coming in and seem to be torturing her more than any of the other teeth. She is just not happy! She also has a runny nose, a bad cough, a slight fever last night, and just not sleeping well. Poor baby, it will be over soon!
