Top 2 Random things about me:
1. My 11 year old little sister is adopted.

I know this isn't technically about me, but it has to do with me and you will see the point to putting this on here in one second. My parents adopted Chloe right from the hospital. It is one of the neatest adoption stories that I have heard and I love knowing that I am apart of it. For those of you who don't know the story, my mom and step-dad wanted to have a child together once they got married, since my older sister and I are not biologically his children. In my heart, and with all his actions, he is definitely a father to me. He means the world to me, just like my own dad means everything to me. He is a great guy and deserves to have his own children. When they were unsuccessful, an opportunity arose within our family for them to adopt. A family member of mine asked if they wanted to adopt their child that was not born yet. It was a great opportunity, considering my family member was young and not ready at that time to be a parent, but not willing to go any other route than adoption. I really look up to both Chloe's biological mother and father for what they did and also for giving me my amazing sister. So, longgggg long story short. Chloe is adopted, yes, BUT she is also related to me, is more of a "biological sister" to me than she will ever know and resembles my family and I's looks ALOT. All things considered though, I would have never thought that this little girl -------------->

2. I love acting like a kid.

I love taking walks, playing at the park, swimming, waterslides, amusement parks, picnics, coloring, chasing Lidia around on my hands and knees, riding bikes, etc. I guess that makes Lidia one lucky gal to have a mom like that!

I also love the adult versions of those things. Riding motorcycles, pool parties with my ladies, picnics with my man, (??? hasn't happened but could be fun!) and swimming in the lake while boating with all my friends. But coloring ehhhh I have no excuse for that!

Life is good.

...and she finally says mama!!

"Cries cries wahh wahh MAMA cries MAMA wahhhhhhhh!"

I could have guessed that she would associate the word "mama" with crying. That's all she does now! So of course, I want to be the one to pick her up when she's crying now because she needs her mama! Right? Well for now... I think it's sooo cute but I'm sure it will get old very fast!

The weather here in good ol' Iowa has been pretty decent this weekend! We went to backdoor adventures, which in an indoor place with playground equipment for sale and kids can play during the week. She had a great time crawling everywhere and swinging on swings. The slides aren't her favorite yet but she'll get there! We were also able to play outside and take a walk in the wagon! I can not wait for summer!

We have a busy week ahead of us! Lidia starts at a new daycare tomorrow! We are very excited and I know she will do great! Easter is this weekend (yay!) and family will be in town (yay!) which is exciting but hectic to try and fit in, considering we are having our housewarming party/easter egg hunt on Saturday to show off our new digs! Note to self: clean... ugh!! I wanted to get some painting in before our party but hey I'm a mom, that works, and I'm with child. I have an excuse that there is ugly wallpaper hanging in one of my bathrooms right?! No that is no excuse if you saw this HIDEOUS wallpaper... maybe Friday...

1. Did you pass your driver's test on the first try? HECK NO! It took me 2, maybe 3 times?? I can't remember, it was too long ago, but I'm terrible at taking tests. Terrible.

2. What is your most embarrassing moment? I thought it would be going number 2 while giving birth to my daughter but luckily at that moment I could care less... and I still don't! I don't get embarrassed easily. I do enough daily to embarrass a person for a lifetime. I should be used to it by now. Falling, tripping, wearing flip flops in the winter... etc.

3. What TV show would you like to be on- Oprah, Biggest Loser, or What Not to Wear?
Well I wouldn't qualify for Biggest Loser so that's out the door. Oprah would be fun to get some freebies... maybe a car?! But What not to Wear would be great for me! I think I could use some better fashion tips in my life. My daughter always rocks awesome outfits but me? Nahh I'm better off in my flippy floppys!

4. Would you ever get plastic surgery and what kind? I wouldn't get plastic surgery. Unless my lovely upper region stays large and in charge after this last baby then maybe a reduction. Hahahaa yeah right... so no surgery for me! I'm definitely not perfect but there's really nothing worth get surgery on. Except maybe my tiny crooked pinkies and tiny funny feet! But Lidi has those feet too so they are staying!

5. What are your favorite jeans to wear? Silver jeans. They show off my badonkadonk! Can't wait to fit in those again!

So my post from earlier today was a huge rant and I wanted to take it down because I am no debbie downer and I felt like I was being that way. If you read it... Sorry. I blame the hormones! HAHAHA I can only use that for a little bit longer now right?!? If you didn't read it, and I know you guys were wondering where it went, it was just talking about frustration that moms have towards having the "perfect child" in other peoples eyes. You know, the ones we read about that sleep 12 hours a night, never give us any crap, and literally never crap all over us! And how we feel when others make a comment about our parenting skills. Whether good or bad. So there it is. Nothing big, just wanted to make this blog a little bit more about rainbows and sunshines and not complaining about a little comment that shouldn't ruin a person's day because that's what life is all about right?!? Rainbows and Sunshines?! Riiiiiiiighttttt.... And by the way, my babies ARE perfect... to me!

Update on Lidia: She is the cutest, sweetest baby in the world. My little mobile girl that crawled up the stairs for the first time yesterday!!!! She's constantly pulling herself up on most everything, and loves waving hi and bye! She's getting so big!

Update on peanut: We have a bag of Oreos on our hands!! YUMMM! She is about the length of a box of oreos, weighing almost 1 pound, and only 18 more weeks left! 18 more weeks sounds so much better than saying I'm 22 weeks along. I've gained maybe 5 lbs?? I don't weigh myself but I haven't gained much yet. I only gained like 15 or 20 lbs with Lidia and didn't start showing until my 7th month. I'm starting to show now and getting uncomfortable. Back aches at night and starting the whole going to the bathroom constantly thing isn't fun either. So I'll leave you with pictures of Lidia because she is wayyyyy cuter than showing off my pregnant belly. Don't get me wrong, I think it's cute when others do it but me?? Not so much! Plus, there's not much to show except a few stretch marks and my untanned tummy. (Gross, right?? Well I've been pregnant for almost two years now!! I have no tan to my skin at all!!!) Maybe you'll get lucky and blessed with a belly pic later! :)

Epic Fail

Ever have those days where you feel like a failure??!? If this ever runs across your mind at any point during the day, I encourage you to check out this website: http://failblog.org. It will brighten your day and make you feel much better about yourself! Not to mention, you may cry from laughter and have to share with all your friends. Here are some examples of what you may find. But when you have those "mommy fail" days, I'm not sure there is a website you can go to that will make you feel better. Maybe call a friend, or a family member, or blog about it. So that's what I'm going to do. So here goes my mommy fail...

Lidia woke up this morning about 6am. She was standing up in her crib, crying of course, and when she saw me walk in she just started giggling! (I love that!) So I picked her up, told her good morning, and kissed her sweet little face. We went to the kitchen to make a bottle and headed to my bed to feed her. She fell asleep while drinking her bottle, so I kept her in my bed and got up to get ready for the day. I took a shower, got out, and checked on her. Still asleep. So I continued to get ready, Matt came in and showered, and I started blowdrying my hair. He left and went to the other bathroom to finish getting ready himself. All the while, still checking on princess but still nothing. So, a few minutes later, I heard a knock at the door. (still blowdrying my hair) It was Matt, holding princess, and laughing. Come to find out, he found her in the hallway outside the bathroom door crawling towards him. How did she get down from the bed??? UMMM SHE MUST HAVE FALLEN. Did she cry????? UMMMM NOPE! So let's rewind.... She fell off our bed, didn't cry, and just crawled her way to find us. Wow. Mommy fail. BIG TIME. What's YOUR biggest mommy fail??? I need to feel better here!

... at least I'm not this mommy though....

Hairbrush and Hairties!

I seriously brush my hair 34523 times a day. Even if it's in a ponytail. Weird? Definitely. It's like an obsession! I feel like my hair looks better brushed, (Who doesn't) so I constantly do it! Plus, I've been pregnant for the last 8 years, it seems, and I don't always feel the prettiest, so whatever helps, right?? I know this is technically two things, but they go together, so my black hairties are a must also. I have to have the same kind and they are always black. If my hair isn't in a ponytail, then I always have a hairtie around my wrist, just in case. Or maybe it's comfort. Either way, I can't last a "normal" day without these!

Next:

Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha

and/or Iced Tea! (Unsweetened pleeeease!)
I have to have one or both of these each day. End of story.

We. Are. MOVED!!

and lovin' it!!!!

Was it a long weekend? Yes.

Was it stressful? Maybe.

Was Lidia amazing during everything? DEFINITELY!

She got to see tons of our friends and family while they helped us.

Still wouldn't leave momma's side though.

She got to play in her new ducky bathtub in her OWN BATHROOM!

(until her lil sis makes her appearance that is.)

She got her pretty princess room all set up.

(The way SHE liked it of course.)

She started pulling herself up in her crib.

Fun? NO.

She can pull herself up but not get back on her booty by herself.

This has made for interesting naptimes and nighttime.

But it's sure fun to play in!

She got to dress up like a princess for her boyfriend, London's, 1st birthday party!

She tortured him the whole time, like all girls do to boys!

and she made me fall in love with her a little more like she always does with every day that passes!

1. Have you ever had a celeb sighting? Yes, I've seen Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore at Aura (a LAME-O club) a few years back. Also, Jesse Metcalf (the guy from Desperate Housewives right??? YUMMM:) at Crush and my favorite Lauren Conrad at Crush. Have I met any of them.... Ummm.... NO! But I creeped them from afar and thought I was pretty cool!

2. What temperature do you keep your house? 68? I believe. I'm not quite sure but last night was nice enough to have the padio door open and windows open!!! My type of weather for sure!!!

3. Do you notice dust at other peoples homes? Nope! I don't even notice the dust at my own home... until it gets bad. Does this mean I'm drrrrty?!?

4. What's the worst job you ever had? Speaking of Aura in my first question, I forgot that I worked there for... ONE NIGHT! HAHAHA yeah it sucked that bad. I was a "waitress" when it first opened and it wasn't for me. I TOTALLY forgot about this and pretty sure noone even knows this except my mom. Remember, mom?!

5. What is your most sentimental possession? My childhood blanket that my mom just found a few weeks ago, torn apart, and puke green. LOVE IT.
