{Recipe} Banana/Chocolate Chip Bread

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 ounces butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Cream sugar and butter; beat in the mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla.

Combine the dry ingredients and stir into the first mixture; then add chocolate chips.
Cute little helpers make the bread taste better too.... :)
Pour batter into greased loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 30 to 40 minutes.

and.... VOILA!

And then if you're like me... you make cookies later that afternoon with the left over chocolate chips.... :)
The kiddos loved our baking day... obviously....
