Christmas card outtakes and a trip to the park!

Somedays are harder than others when it comes to parenting a two and three year old.
Somedays it may be my attitude that makes it harder, and somedays it's their attitude.
But...we always get through it.
We had one of those "harder days" a few weeks back.
Fights. No naps. Arguing. Tattling. younameit.
So at the end of our day I took them on a walk.
They walked the entire way to the park. No stroller. No wagon.... They walked.
To wear them out. To make them explore. To entertain them. To make me not go insane! :)
We ended up walking to the park near our house.
And while my intentions were to let us "regroup" and end our day on a good note, it ended up being more then that.
It will probably one of the last times this year that we will be at the park and enjoying being outside because winter is coming. So despite the day of terror, I'm so thankful we went. The girls always love the park!
....and you are probably wondering why the girls were in Christmas pj's, huh?
Before we went to the park, I did a little "photoshoot" for our Christmas card this year.
And you are lucky enough to see some of the outtakes!
(I will share our Christmas card after they have been sent out.)

Thanksgiving weekend. Part 2. PLUS! My proudest mommy moment to date.

All in all our Thanksgiving weekend and the Minnesota trip was great! We had great food, great company, great family time, a great trip to Ikea, the girls spent time with their great grandparents, and my great dad pursuaded me into letting the girls have a sleepover with him! (Since they only see each other once or twice a year) We stayed at the same hotel and we were just down the hall, but still... the girls thought it was great! Matt and I went next door from the hotel to a little sports bar and had a little date that may or may not have included me pursuading him to dance with me :) It was great hehe :)

Anyway, we stayed in Minnesota from Wednesday evening until Friday evening because we had to get back home in order to get to Lidia's dance recital on Saturday afternoon! Lidia's dance studio was performing at the Festival of Trees and Lights downtown, so this wasn't your "typical" recital but it was still fun! There were all sorts of trees decorated, vendors, train rides, and SANTA!  Anyway, here is the proudest mommy moment to date: LIDIA DID AWESOME AT HER DANCE RECITAL!!!! She did not cry or whine once. She even told another little girl, "It's ok! You will be okay! Let's go dance on that interstage!" (stage haha) She danced the whole time. Smiled the whole time and I'm not kidding when I say she was the best (and cutest!) little girl up there! I was so proud!! And yes, if you are wondering... I cried. I couldn't help it. She is so wishy washy when it comes to dance (and pretty much everything!) that when I saw her up there, I was just so overwhelmed! And she was so proud of herself too! When she got off the stage, she was beaming. She ran up to me and hugged and kissed me and said, "Mommy! I did it! I danced so good!! You are so proud of me! I'm the best dancer!"

yes my darling, yes you were.

Anyway, here are pictures from the rest of our weeekend; including Lidia's dance recital, the Festival of Trees and Lights with Santa and a train ride, decorating our Christmas tree, and more!
(Lidia was in the middle. Next to a blonde girl and a girl with short dark hair. She was in pigtails)
(Decorating our tree)
(Carly just wanted to make silly faces)
(Lidia joined in)
.... lastly, some pictures from throughout our weekend from my phone!
