Thanksgiving weekend was great this year! We spent a few days in Minnesota, saw my dad's side of the family, went to heaven... aka Ikea (seriously LOVE that store! Iowa needs one ASAP!) Lidia had a dance recital, (more details on that to come!) we put up our Christmas tree, saw Santa... and more!
I'll break down this weekend into two parts...
As I said, on Wednesday afternoon, we headed up to Minnesota to spend time with my dad's side of the family for Thanksgiving. Since my grandparents live in a suburb of Minneapolis, we live in Iowa, and my dad lives in South Dakota... we decided that Minnesota was the perfect place for us to meet and spend the holiday together. I only got pictures from Thanksgiving day while we were there and as you can tell, the weather went from GORGEOUS in the morning, to SNOWING that evening. Crazy. But our time in Minnesota? Great. I'm so glad we were able to get together!
Now, I'll just let the pictures do (most) of the talking from Thanksgiving day...
(Playing outside and looking at the ducks at the pond outside my grandparents house)
(My dad's girlfriend Toni)
(Papa making up a silly princess story... the girls thought it was hysterical!)
(Playing the organ)
(In a turkey coma. Oh wait. She didn't eat any :)
(Carly sleeping on her great-grandma)
(Group picture: my grandparents, my dad and Toni, my family, my aunt and cousins, and my sister!)
Little stinker was still sleeping...
... and we ended the evening looking at Christmas lights and the snow!
