On the weekend of June 1st, we headed down to Arkansas for Matt's brother's wedding. It was a 6-7 hour drive from Iowa, so we headed down on Thursday afternoon, so the girls could nap in the car. And they actually did great on the car ride!! We got into Arkansas that night between 9-10pm and headed over to Uncle Dave and Aunt Cassy's house where everyone was waiting for us. We hung out with Grandma Kiki, Grandpa Bruce, and of course Dave and Cassy. Grandma Kiki wanted the kiddos to stay the night in her hotel room, (we didnt get a room that night) so we were able to spend the rest of the night hanging out with Matt's brothers and Cassy, picking out songs for the wedding, and watching the crazy storms. The next morning we headed over to the hotel, grabbed breakfast with the babes, and then headed straight to the pool. OF COURSE! That is where we spent most of Friday... the hotel pool!
Friday night was the rehearsal dinner and it was a perfect location because it was at our hotel in one of the banquet rooms. Everyone traveling from out of town stayed at the hotel so it worked out great. The hotel though? Not so perfect. Long story short, we had to switch rooms 3 different times before we finally got a decent one :) Anyway, here is everyone before and during the rehearsal dinner...
(Rock, Kiki, Uncle Eric, Grandpa Bruce, Papa)
(Grandpa Bruce and Uncle Dave... the groom!)
(Aunt Cassy with her flower girls and ringbearer!)
The next day, Saturday June 1st was the wedding!
That morning was spent swimming (duh) and hanging out with Uncle Dave and his friends in the hot tub.
Then we headed to the wedding that afternoon and got ready with Aunt Cassy. The wedding was held on Cassy's grandparents' farm and it was perfect. Cassy is definitley an Arkansas farm girl and this wedding showed that perfectly! They were married outside, the reception was outside, and full of country flair! Even the cute flower girls were cowgirl'd up!
Papa was, of course, a groomsmen.
Wishing Uncle Dave good luck!
(Then Party time/dance time!)
... and the girls were spent!
It was such a fun weekend and we are sooo happy for Uncle Dave and Aunt Cassy!
