Lidia had her first day of preschool on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013. She will be going to preschool 4 days a week, for 3 hours per day. (12:30-3:30pm) This may not seem like alot, but it's pretty huge for us. Lidia and Carly are used to only going to daycare two days a week, and being home with me on Mondays and Fridays. So this will be an adjustment since Lidia will be at preschool on Monday and Friday afternoons now. Carly won't know what to do with herself! But we will survive! We've grown used to adjustments lately. Just recently, we took the girls out of their daycare they had been to for awhile and put them in an inhome daycare. The reason was simple! A friend from church has an in-home daycare and her daughter is the same age and going to the same preschool as Lidia! So it just made sense to have both girls go to her house on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that Lidia and her daughter can carpool to preschool when I'm at work! Score! Carly stays with Becky (her babysitter) and her son while the older girls are at preschool. So it works out perfectly.
Annnnnyway, back to the issue at hand. My baby. My first born. My heart... Is officially a preschooler! Next year is Kindergarten... wah!
Carly was kissing her sissy for good luck!
Carly had to be in the pictures too :)
Lidia's BFF Brooklyn, her daycare friend that goes to preschool with her!
Brooklyn doing her "School Girl" pose! She's soooo adorable!
Carly posing again! She was sooooooo sad when we left. She wanted to be one of the big kids soooo bad! Next year baby!
Checking out her cubby/locker and hanging up her backpack!
... and here are a few pictures that Becky, their babysitter, took before the big day! I unfortunately had to work that morning, so I met them for lunch, and then at the school to take pictures! So she got some cute pics as well at her house!
They are so cute together! I'm so glad she has a friend already at preschool. Actually, she has two friends! When we walked in, we saw one of her friends from her soccer team as well. So I think she will have a great year! After her first day, she said she didn't want to go back though. So hopefully it changes! I'm so proud of Lidia and so excited to see what the school year will bring for our big girl!
